I grew up in farm country and had many of the same experiences. As my daughter says with a shrug, "I wish they didn't have to die, but it's the Circle of Life". I can't say it much better than that. When I had a hard time getting lamb, I called an old friend, his former stepdad is a 3rd or 4th generation farmer and lets us run down to Tangent and buy lamb "on the hoof" at $1/lb. He loves seeing people get out and and become part of the process. Again, thank you, it's nice not to be alone. Great article in MIX, great photos.
